About the Presenter:
Dr. Hoffer graduated from SUNY Medical School in Syracuse, NY and the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, MI.
He is the Founder and 1st President of ASCRS (1974) and the Founding Editor of JCRS and the 1st ASCRS Meeting Chairman (1975.)
His clinical research has been in cataract/IOL surgery with an emphasis on IOL power calculation and biometry. This work led to auhtoring the Hoffer Q formula and the first computer program for IOL Power in 1993.
